Hang on......

I was trying to do my bit to recycle as much stuff as possible.

(I always slit the slightly shiny paper from tins.....'Cos I don't think that that paper's recyclable .......Wash out the tins (Soup/dog food etc)....Put the shiny paper on the fire.. Put cleaned tins into the recycle bag.)

I slipped with the knife. :-[ :D.....What a surprise.

Indeed, I would advocate that we all put a band aid on in solidarity with our forum chums. However, recent newspaper reports indicate a worldwide shortage of band-aids, alluding to a secret cache somewhere in the western part of Wales ...

I am afraid that The Centurion tank had lots of threads, in fact every nut and bolt in its constructon had a thread (Probably Imperial or  Whitworth)on it, and even the barrel was rifled so that is a thread of sorts!

Perhaps we should be discussing the pros and cons of  various thread Standards To name but a few

British Association screw threads (BA)
British standard brass thread
British Standard Cycle
British standard fine thread (BSF)
British standard pipe thread (BSP)
ISO metric screw thread
Unified Thread Standard (UTS, including UNC, UNF, UNS and UNEF)
