Yeah, a lot of Ethiopian cattle have humps.

Hmmm, of everything I've seen this method of making cliffs seems to combine realism with scalability.   Also, I think the concept might well apply to other materials or tools.

Well good old Mel is my main inspiration for my projects but if I wanted to make a truly huge mesa, I don't think I'd want to use molds and plaster.

In any case, I'm back from the beach and managed to plug these plugs with spray insulation and then cap them off with sculptamold:

The one at center back is a half plug for the table edge.

They are drying after being gritted and base coated with a combo of SuperDeck and PVA.

Look forward to seeing these completed. :)

And now for something completely different...

Some of the scenarios happen indoors but I don't really have a desire to build a whole set of terrain for that.  I ended up watching a bunch of Crooked Staff Terrain and was thinking that his 2.5D stuff was simple enough to to knock out quickly.

Here is a little test build:

fred.

They look good. Using black foam core improves the look over cardboard.

The content of your thread is getting further and further away from Ethiopia

Fine, be that way.  Clearly I need more crates.

These re-purpose the wooden floor texture.

Any progress on the scenery on the previous page ?

I was rather looking forward to seeing how those finished up.
