Fantasy armies for a custom RISK board game

Alrighty chaps!


I had to take some time off the Krieg 1919 map I was making as you guys suggested. I had my neighbour who is part of our boardgaming group come over and help me out with the map. And It came out alright, just need to put some thought on the bush and forest placement.


Anyway I made some more scenery and got some reinforcements ready for the Spatendorf Empire! Also painted a couple of lowly peasants for fun, from which the more colourful bunch are part of the Lordship of Crowmoor.

On the ruined building I added some Woodland Scenic bushes to give some contrast.

Got some more Battlescale Scenery done, really love these casts as those are crisp and without bubbles. + Extremely professionally made detail.

Recently I've been experimenting with some tile painting techniques, and for these I've dabbed every single tile invidually with a highlight. Time consuming but gives nice results.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed those buildings!

I can not stress this enough = Battlescale has to be the best bang for your buck out there.

I just finished up some Perfect Six Scenics items, 2 Watchtowers, 1 Ruin, 2 Wells and 4 rock golems.


First of all, if you compare the Towers resin casting quality to Battlescale, these are riddled with bubbles when Battlescale has zero (Couldn't bother to clean them up, THERE WERE SO MANY!). However, very nice sculpts and their metal casts are great.

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
