Another thread by Freddy326 made an interesting reference to 'musty toy shops' ...the sort that have a coating of dust on their plastic model section. The sort where you can find an original box of Airfix Guardsmen in H0&00 !

As Freddy rightly observes, a 10mm gamer can make real 'discoveries' in these little stores.

Is there any such gems out there - doing mail order - that would have stock of interest to a 10mm gamer? ie 1/144 aircraft and 1/150 bits and bobs.

None round my way now, sadly.
We used to have a really good one but it closed soon after we got a new shopping centre and Argos and Woolworths moved in to sell all their plastic rubbish.  >:(
Life is too important to be taken seriously.

We have Antics in Bristol which is a very good 'old fashioned' model shop. When I lived in Nottingham, there was a similar type of modelshop (can't remember the name) that had a few faded original Airfix kits boxes in the window.

Antics have an online shop, so well worth checking them out. I use the Italeri 1/100 pre-painted model Aircraft they sell for both my 10mm and 15mm battlegroups
