For me, Korean War scenario(s) have to involve some sort of tanks.

Are you saying you have to have tanks to be interested?  If so, here's some incentive.

I would say that dependent upon the phase of the war tanks have a varied impact.

If you look at Pork Chop Hill for example, that was an almost entirely infantry battle. I think tank vs tank was not a great feature of Korea. Probably used more as mobile artillery / infantry support.

Whatever your taste, I think the Koran War can supply.

Sorry found this ... couldn't resist.

The early war was the era for tank v tank

From memory (its about 2 years since I researched it) the north entered the war with about 600 T34/85s.

There were approx. 119 tank v tank engagements.  The deployment was often in  penny packets - only 24 engagements involving more than three T34s !
Which makes for the table top  well suited to real life.

The bad news for Stuart (fsn) was that the 8th (Royal Irish Hush Puppies ) only had 18 Cents. in total.  ~X(

I rather suspect that you are referring to the Churchills which were the first tanks we sent. 1 Squadron would be roughly 18.

No Ian. I am referring to the 8th Royal Irish Hussars who arrived at Pusan on 14 Nov 1950.  With their shiny new Mk3s.

And yes, I stand corrected in that  three squadrons of the 8th were deployed, so that's what ? 18 x 3 = 54 Centurions in total ?  :)

I was reading the war diary for the Compo valley and had  assumed one squadron was the deployment

Now the reccie platoon - they were equipped with Cromwells- and at least one got captured, and used against former owners !

IIRC the first battle the Centurions fought was against a captured Cromwell.

Centurion won.

Just got my first lot for the Korean War - some Summer Chinese (which does sound like a variety of petunia) - and they are absolutely, and I don't just say this, absolutely spiffing.

Well done Techno.

Thank you Leon & crew.

Probably at some stage but no timescales at the moment I'm afraid.  We've invested quite a sum in the Korean ranges so far so we'll need to get some sales in for a bit before we start adding more sculpts.
