A big thank you to MAgamer for his mention of pizza boxes :-bd

Flags added to two of the units of the current batch and edges touched up :) :)
When I went to cut out the flags for the third unit I realised I had made one of them with the wrong device Piles Wavy rather than Cinquefoils :o #-o
I've corrected the flag and will reprint and add tomorrow :!!

Corrected flags added to Sir Edward Stradling's Regiment, both standards now have Cinquefoils :)
Edges done on those standards :)

I've just checked the forecast and no varnishing weather in the next 10 days :( ~X(
Hopefully, the showers will clear enough to let me get the 30 hedges and 3 units I have waiting done :-w

I've done 150 hedges, have another 70 hedges at various stages in the process, and 30 waiting to be varnished
So only another 50 to do :!!

No varnishing weather for the next 10 days !! :o  :'( :'( :'(

Mind you, you certainly wouldn't be able to do any varnishing here for the next few days !
Not only would the figures get very wet.....They'd get blown off the table !

Cheers - Phil.

Weather was better than forecast this afternoon/evening :)

Two batches of hedges and the current batch of figures varnished :)

Run out of time for piccies tonight :(

Making good progress progressing multiple batches of hedges :) :!!

As the weather was again better than forecast as soon as I got home from work I grabbed some piccies just before the sun got too low #:-S

Sir Edward Stradling's Regiment of Foot

Duke of York's Regiment of Foot

Sir Marmaduke Rawdon's Regiment of Foot

These are the last of the troops I need for Cheriton but not quite the end of this project

Some of you may know that none of these regiments were at the battle of Cheriton, the shot and officers from these units will be used as the Commanded Shot from Lieutenant Colonel Edward Hopton, Sir Allen Apsley and Colonel Matthew Appleyard's regiments

Paul, as always, looking great!!!

I did notice one of the flags developed a wrinkled crease when trying to add the motion - a problem I have encountered more than once. I finally figured a solution and offer just a a  suggestion. Now I take my paper flags and use various sizes of round things (like a pencil, modeling file, straw, etc. ad will roll the flag around it. Then for more folded places I will carefully add additional folding by hand. Seems to work pretty well, and I think is worth the trouble.

paulr

I agree Terry, I use the same technique

Unfortunately the crease developed while trying to 'carefully' add a little more movement late in the process and the glue had dried too much for me to sort it ~X(
