ECW project - For King and Parliament

Paul let me have a quick look at the latest batch of figures when I went to collect him for last nights game.

Looking very nice indeed.....the Pendraken Scots Cavalry looks quite distinct from their English contemporaries.

Time to get some of my MDF bases assembled and painted/flocked...using the same system as Paul has.

Finished the manes and tails :)

Hooves done :)

Started on the tack :!!

Glued up the sabots for the English and painted the first side :)
As Pierre the Shy noted above he will be basing the Scots

Made good progress on the horse once I got the tack finished :)

Saddle blankets, wood, scabbards and belts done :)

Painting was briefly interrupted by a couple earthquakes :o

The larger one was 6.2 but fortunately over 200km deep and about 360km away #:-S

Also finished painting the sabots and bases :)

:o  Most definitely on a different scale (no pun intended) to my experience!   

I do my painting on the kitchen table. We have a particularly springy floor at the point everyone walks past the table on their way to the sink. Usually this happens when you are doing fine detail. I've got it down to a fine art now (i.e., recognising when someone is about to walk past and stopping painting) but, at first, there was many a smudged figure that had to be re-done. Much less warning with an earthquake, of course, where you are - these are extremely rare where I live and when they do, almost negligible - your experience makes me appreciate the high rainfall we get here instead!
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Was under my desk at work PDQ when the quake happened but no damage anywhere this time thank goodness....went on for a looooong time though.

I keep forgetting we are a lot more use to earthquakes than other parts of the world ;)

Pierre the Shy has different priorities so I'll be doing two small units of Cuirassiers and one or two units of pistol armed horse depending on how many there are and what will fit on my painting rods ;) :)

Using these as bodyguards for Dukes of Argyll and Leven respectively - how historic these are depicted as cuirassiers is purhaps open to question but what gamer doesn't like to have some heavies around :)

I will be very happy to get the first units back for basing, first unit completion is always a milestone for a new period, and I have been dabbling in the Scots ECW period for a couple of years now.  :-bd

Finished preparing my 3 units of Parliamentary Horse :)
Sorted them and the Scots ready for when the painting rods are free :-w

Waiting for the touch ups to fully dry before washing the current batch :-w

Cut and glued bases for 10 more hedges  :)

PM ECW figures?  Not familiar with these, can you give more details please?
