Painting commission of 15mm Dragoons, what colour are the 12 apostles?
I've seen brown, buff and blue(!) on people's models and illustrations.

I use the following four Vallejo colours to give variety and high contrast with the belt

A productive Labour day holiday

• Visited an open day at the Upper Hutt Block house, built in 1860 - that counts as OLD in NZ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upper_Hutt_Blockhouse
• Visited the 'Beyond the Cordon' photographic exhibition - pictures taken by Police photographers in the aftermath of the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, a lot of familiar places for this Christchurch lad
• Made good progress on Pierre the Shy's Dragoons

As I had hoped a parcel arrived from Pendraken HQ today with the last of the Scots units I am doing (3 units of highland levies armed with [mainly] pike and shot and a few friends who I had forgotten about) as well as lots of MDF bases for various projects next year.

I did make sure Paul didn't mind painting a few more Scots figures before ordering them.....

The dragoons should be ready this weekend so I will get busy cleaning up the new arrivals to exchange before facing off against a couple French Guard Chasseur regiments (amongst other things) with some trained Prussian infantry in the on-going Napoleonic campaign that Roy is running....what can possibly go wrong?

So far the Prussians have seen off a couple of French attacks but the serious stuff will be in the second half of the game which is on Saturday.

Dragoon guidions and labels printed off and bases painted.... I could not resist including Captain Blackadder's company of Dragoons for the Royalists

Final dry brush and figure bases done

Painted the first side of the last of my spare sabot bases and the last bases I need for my remaining figures (which will be painted after Pierre the Shy's Scots)

Found the 'safe place' I put the ships Aksu 3d printed for me
They will be next after Pierre the Shy and my ECW are finished, I can start sorting labels and and bases for them in my spare time

Pierre the Shy is unable to attend our regular game this evening, one of the other Prussian commanders will have to face off against a couple French Guard Chasseur regiments

He did however manage to pop in to collect his Dragoons

And drop of some more Scots:

• 3 Highland Levy Pike & Shot units
• 16 additional Curaissiers to bulk out the Body guard units
• the Shot, officers and drummers for 6 Conventant Pike & Shot units

I've under coated the 3 Highland Levy Pike & Shot units, this will give Pierre the Shy some more time to add the pike to the Pikemen for the 6 Conventant units
