Apart from the flag, still a) undecided on the regiment and b) not that great at mounting paper flags and getting them to look realistic, hints and tips please, I am calling these done. Have prepped up my second pike and shotte regiment so starting those tonight and sorted out two regiments of commanded Shotte, two regiments of cavalry and the two field pieces for my starter NMA if I maintain momentum I hope to have these done by mid June   ;)

Try image size tags in the piccy bbcode bit. I have to dredge my brain every time to remember it or I'd say how!

Stalwart looking chaps at the front, very good. Can you mount the flag on a lollipop tube or similar and a lot it over the standard pole? That way they can have multiple flags and pretend to be different units as needed :)

Indeed! This is an excellent way to give maximum flexibility!

On image sizes, change the contents of the brackets preceding the image url from img to img width=xxx or img height=xxx where xxx is the size I usually go with 500 or 750 but type in numbers and preview to see the effect. The spacing shown here matters.

Dismountable flags sounds a good idea, if slightly fiddly.

Cheers Ithoriel, I have to check the difference between bbcode and html every time - should post more piccies, I guess!

In terms of hints & tips...

I print my flags, once wraped around the pole and the edges are lined up I bend them around a cocktail stick or similar in a couple of directions to make them look as though they are flapping in the breeze. The second bend looks better if it is not parallel to the first. I also tend to have the top rear corner drooping. Painting the edges to match the flag colours and hide the white edge also really helps.

Too many gamers ignore that white edge step. The result looks frightful when they do.

Great stuff here  =D> .... Will look even better when the flags are on.
