That's the way they dress here.
I'm pretty close to Munich but looks like the older ladies wear the full length dresses the younger ladies seem to wear slightly shorter ones.

Just watched "Edge: The Loner" on Amazon. Brought back many memories of the George Gilman books that I read in the 1980s. So now I want some Western figures.

Actually, folks, the truth of the matter is that she was a good acquaintance only.  I knew her before (and after) her 'appearance.' Nice and very intelligent lassie.

Anyway. I went see the last in the Hunger Games series and am conflicted about Jennifer Lawrence. She seems to change as you look at her, like the light flickering off the wings of a dragonfly. This, I find fascinating.
