Thanks chaps. I'm please with how these came out, and how quick and easy they were to paint up.

Looking good. I didn't realise the Irish were still using war dogs in the C17th.

Must be the Irish Rottweiler Association.

Could easily have been the United Doglovers Association?

Unfortunately for all your politically charged names, the War Dogs are for the Northern English, or Lowland Soots lists in Irregular Wars. Or slightly further afield the Conqusitadors.

Irregular Wars is mainly 16C moving into early 17C

I think with most War Dogs there are included more for flavour than strict historical usage. Though the forces are small enough in irregular wars that they could just represent a pack of hounds.

Really like your interpretations, Fred, great looking. Apparently the kitties are masterminding the operation?

Well spotted. Aren't they always?

The packs of animals are very useful for putting on command stands and the like.

Actually got some painting done the last few days - and even remembered to take photos of one of the subjects!

Some old school Pendraken Trolls, painted up as cave Trolls for a mate's Sauron army

Need to give them a coat of matt varnish - he is going to finish off the basing.

I've just got a monochrome 'No Entry' sign, in the middle of where I'd expect to see the piccy.
