I do think we did :) Best participation game for us, and Leon didn't sound too downbeat by the end so I hope sales were ok. Footfall was about half normal apparently but seems to have been enough punters, I think...

I'd hope it wasn't too bad for the traders, there looked like money was changing hands well enough. Except the Bring and buy - small footprint meant you could actually get to it and have a look but no joy selling owt :/

Damnit, the box is upstairs :D

There's I think four chariots, and 145 foot in various types - bow, spear & shield, axemen and Sherden auxilia with some Nubian bow men. On Impetus basing atm (80mm wide).

I'll do a break down, they're all painted (over some time so the quality on say the Sherden is much better than the bows I did twenty year ago!) and I'll get a photo or three if you want & PM you.

We got back home safely, the roads were completely fine and clear of snow.  The show itself was OK as well, with half the expected visitors our takings were around 3/4's of last year so we've done pretty well considering.  A big thanks to everyone who came along today, I know the weather was extremely bad in some parts of the UK and we appreciate the efforts made by people got through it, to support the event and spend their pennies!

Cheers - it's "Best Participation Game".

Whilst the big games are very impressive, we like to run something that people can join in with for half an hour without too much faff and confusion. Think it gets people interested, and thinking "I/we could do that...", so we keep it fairly small (Black Ops plays with half a dozen figures a side very nicely) and "doable" in price and scenery (Larna's half of the table is something to aspire to, mine is something you can bodge up with some sticky back plastic, the contents of the recycling bin, and a competent adult to wield scissors and glue :D).

We usually get a nice mix across the day of the kids (from Primary age to big school), and adults from the student/twenties up to the older "classic wargamer" profile ;)

As I've now got more clubmates interested it's a lot easier and we can all have a mooch round the show as well!
