Sam Mustafa's Aurelian - any advocates?

I've suffered an outbreak of my ancient's itch again.
(I'm sure the doctor has a creak for it).

A rummage through the present alphabet soup of tournament rules quickly triggered my "Ohh god noooo" reflex.
It rarely survives the initial "Four and a half millenia and over 600 lists" pitch.

I'm trawling the smaller fry around the edge of the shoal.

Has anybody here tried Sam Mustafa's Aurelian, and what can you tell of it in a few lines?
