What a great report with lovely figures and some limited but effective terrain.
I also liked the way you base everything up.

Sounds as though the rules are a hit.   I've never tried grid based rules either
but they look interesting.

Glad you liked the AAR Glorfindel :). I was dubious about playing on a grid, but it sure as heck speeds a lot of things up and to be honest, I didn't really think about it during the game, which is good. Will try and have another game this weekend, but SWMBO is returning from a weeks school trip, so had best tidy the place up :D

Been thinking about getting these rules and some sort of magnetic board to play vertically for quite a while.
Your board looks great.

The only issue I can think of playing vertically is knowing which cards are on which units. Relatively easy on the flat, but not insurmountable on the vertical. These would also make good rules to take on holiday, as you can have a roll up cloth board, with printed figures and terrain, such as can be found at the Junior General site. Hmmm, this has got me thinking...

Enjoyed your AAR as well, Steve, and your comments on TtS!. I must  say the rules system and gridded board are making me a convert.
I find them great for solo play.
