Hi all,
some W.E.G. (West End Games?) Knights, the bases are dated 1979, so almost as old as me!
These are a comission/prize for a friend, who asked for 'French Knights'. Heraldry curtesy of my friend Jarkko

The middle knight on this strip isn't actually a French knight, it's my friend's family arms!

The family arms is a very nice touch. Are you going to tell him or see if he notices ;)

Funny How People het offended by Just about anything these Days...

Personally I think whoever came up with the idea of allowing children into pubs should have their head nailed to a coffee table. Send for Luigi Fercotti! Although not a fan of Brexit I do believe a British pub is a pub not a brasserie and certainly not a creche.

For clarity, i find It funny People find the sign offending.

The kids in a pub part, is something i don't  comment on. Not My establishment so not My choice of wat or who i want in there. I do believe there is nothing wrong with saying who Your intended clientele is. And using a sign to announce that 'tongue in cheek' doesn't annoy me the slightest bit .

It does remind me a bit of a case we had in Belgium a while back. Men's barber shop who had a retro/vintage interior. Had a vintage sign saying "no women allowed" as a cheecky/fun way to show they only did men's hair/ beards. I believe they ended up with a big fine for that sign.

Political correctness is getting on the point of ridicule. Bet those knights didn't have that problem back then!

Well, personally, I'm delighted to see pubs serve food, allow children in and to become generally more civilised places. Children need to experience social situations to learn how to behave in social situations. Staff should, of course, be free to refuse service to families who see no need to educate their children in how to behave in such situations.

Frankly, I think it's up to the women involved to decide if any of the barbers range of hairstyles suits them.

As to the sign, I prefer this one, a little more customer friendly, IMHO.

There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data

To me this is just more of the same, but worded differently. i guess i'm not offended that easily  ;D

I got little blighters too, and i cant stand them running around my table when i'm eating so i really don't want them running around someone else's. I can understand the problem.

But, if you are a barber who wants to specialize in men's haircuts, you don't get to decide?  Really not wanting to make a fuss of this one, but i find it odd that both choices aren't classed as equal.

what about public restrooms, do you go to the one assigned or do you pick the one wich suits you better  ;)

One thing i want to add, i am one of those "can't go here, i'll just go somewhere else" guys. Not the "can only go into 9 out of the 10, but i must get inside the 10th one as well so i'll sue and shame them " type.

All friendly discussion though, as we are veering way off topic!

So back on topic, Lemmey, are all those knights men?

Or have you included some female knights and a few of minority groups?

(VERY tongue in cheeck)  ;) ;) ;)

In the armour, they all look the same to me.
