Got a scrap in between goblins and undead, 1500 points per side. Rulebook suggests a4 by 4 area for 1500 points or less.  I took 5 wide and it was still very cramped!

Nice big scrap in the centre:

The giants would win it for the goblins in the end

Scenario was pillage and goblins won 2 to 1.

Any thoughts about reducing the playing area to 4 wide? Would be too cramped I think!

I don't think I'd go to 4' wide unless I was playing 1000 pts or less.

Was really bad judgement in the book. Maybe it would work with non-horde armies, but I only play cheap masses  :P

Looks great fun, anyway.

I bought the rules, but have yet to play a game.

Has a nice flow!

Really big contrast from warhammer 8th edition. I only played a handfull of games in 8th, and they always were very slow. When i play this i like it so much, i just want to put everything back in place and have another go!

That sounds like a good system then!

Yes really like it! Of course all depends on personal taste, but for me it fits. Just don't expect number crunching and long deep rules, but a very playable system that puts the emphasis on movement and positioning, and grinding down the opponents units, while keeping yours in place. Characters are more support units instead of the uber-killy units that can take on antire armies. They are there to assist through magic, or keep your units in check with the 'inspiring' rule, like they should!

Of course if you like characters stomping over units, there are still those mounted on big gribblies to do that for you  :D
