Are they? They look really long! I did use coffee stirrers but found them to thin... these days it's six inch lollipop sticks as they're big enough to actually hold.

Although I wonder if gluing them to a "grip" would mean thinner sticks work for me...

I can recommend this method. It has served me well for over 20 years. Temporary fixative is Copydex.
