Maybe you could dry clean them

How well do the cloth mats wash anyway?

Ithoriel

I've (carefully) washed and ironed a cloth one without mishap.

Not sure cardboard ones would have survived as well.

Now i don't want to be rude, but looking at the green grassy one, a fleece throw would have the same effect. (and be bigger for the same money)

Please tell me where you can get these from, I've been looking around locally and I can't get a fleece throw anywhere near 6x4!

I typed in "Green fleece throw" on Amazon. Several came up in various shades of green.  may need a bot of a spray to break up the uniform colour

I just got mine on the local market. I've seen some traders that had them at the crisis show too, but can't remember who it was  ...

I got mine on Amazon a couple of years back. It cost, IIRC, about £18 and is about 5'x7'. It was described as a lime green faux mink throw. The fleece is short on one side and about twice as long on the other. I put it over the washing line and randomly sprayed various bits with a darker green and a sand coloured acrylic sprays. It does a pretty good job.

I was intrigued by the cardboard but - it's £10 per square foot?!

Get a fleece, or a bed sheet, use up the scrag ends of spray cans for some different colours, pocket the difference.

See Leman's post above :D

Or get three-gour PVC banner matt prints from Pixart for the same...
