Stunning.
I've got 500 jacobites I have to paint sometime.
Now look at what I have to aspire to.
I hate you.
;)

Haha thanks......

I hear painting the plaid gets easier after the first 499 figures

Can I recommend Vaubanner, who rescaled his flags to 10mm for me.

My nappy Highlanders have dark Green base withn the occasional yellow strip. In 10 I'd leave the stipes off

Might I please ask to what dimensions you asked them to rescale them to?I presume around 10-12mm across the pole and the same on the other axis?

Thank you,
Theo

Simon,

Thanks.  Definitely worth some "from 3 ft" experimentation for the ordinary troops.  And my Nap scots will be up for painting alongside the non-kickstarter long before I reach the Jacobites.  I'm wondering about scoring in a "noughts and crosses"  pattern with a scalpel because any wash/ink could then pick that up. I'll report back circa 2026 at current painting rate.

Most military sets are very dark, so the impression is what you need although Will could probably paint it accurately 3 times betterer dan moi, 3 times as fast.

It's time for texturing. That's no way to spend a bank holiday weekend

I'll be a minority of one but I think the plain black contrasting with reds and blues makes the figures look even more outstanding.

Apoc

great painting, everything is neat and vibrant!
