Glad people like them - I am pleased how the turned out.

A case of great minds thinking alike about the cattle colours?  ;)

Looking at doing Montrose next year DGuy as I have a lot of other stuff to finish first and the gaming budget for 2017 is already committed (Going to have a LOT of ships to paint soon  ;) )

I have bought a PDF copy of Baroque and will be trying a few solo test games over the coming days with some "base units" to understand how they work. I think my gaming group will take to them as Baroque seems to have a fair degree of commonality with V&B and the DBA/M rules series which we use (e.g. I stand = 1/2 or a full "battalion" and they use base widths for movement distances and combats are resolved without using too many different dice).

On to basing more WW1 Artillery, HQ's and support units.

I think all the cows I was standing next to, in the field, when I was comparing how tall these particular ones were, compared to my 6 foot height, were black....I couldn't tell you what breed they were, though....except they were beef cattle.

There were a couple that were quite happy for me to stand right next to them, which made comparing the relative sizes very easy.
I could almost describe them as nosy bastards. You could almost feel the thought processes......"What's this odd two legged thing wandering around with us ?.....Let's go and investigate "

What I would NEVER do, is go into a field where there were cows with young calves.......They almost always get extremely protective of their young.....and I wouldn't fancy getting trampled by half a dozen of those !.....I think I'd get end up as a flattened, bloody smear in the mud. (And dead)

I also wouldn't go in a field with a mature bull either !!

I think you've done a cracking job on those, Peter.

Cheers - Phil

I've sorted the first batch of WWI - a German Infantry Regiment

And now they have been put back in a bag :-[ :-[ :-[

They have been pre-emptied by something more nautical ;)

My spies tell me that the third echelon should begin progressing shortly.  :-bd

We are (well I am at least  ;) ) looking at tentatively putting on a game based on the action at Elouges (24 Aug 1914) at our local convention in August which will include these guys as I need a LOT of German Infantry for the game.

Hope the Feldpolitzi don't catch them acting like that - they have battles to fight  ;)
