Hi

Not sure if this has been requested before but maybe tommygun-carrying gangsters and G-men/FBI could be an interesting skirmish type game. There's scope for some great looking cars as transport too.

These figures could perhaps be useful for pulp-dungeon games as well.

Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

FierceKitty

Fun idea, but sounds like 28mm stuff.

Me too though I would also like some more British villains and cads of the same era.

Dang it!  Count me in also  ;)

Gangsters and 30s vehicles in 10mm just way way too cool and very reasonable on the pocketbook  :)

Remember a couple of Raymond Chandler-style non-gangster types; the cool blonde, the hard-boiled detective, etc.

And you'd need police figures/vehicles as well as the gangs and FBI.

I guess this could be a serious historically based set of figures or you could almost give it a comic book feel with character figures or themed gangs e.g. very large rotund gangsters, the vertically challenged (anyone remember the Ant Hill Mob?) or armed lady gangsters.

28mm domain.

how may would you need, a dozen a side tops.

sorry for the spoiler

That's not a spoiler - just an opinion  :)

You could make the same argument about RPGing with 10mm - and the Dungeons seem to be pretty popular.

As for needing only a few figures - my own thinking is running to this at the moment:

Gangs:
Chicago Mob: Big Boss, 3 Bosses, 15-20 henchmen
Tong: Ditto

Lawmen:
FBI: about a dozen
Cops: Chief, 20 officers, 4 detectives

Characters:
2-3 Private Detectives, Reporter & Photographer, 4-6 Dames, 4-6 Flapper girls, various citizens incl newspaper boys, street urchins etc

Vehicles:
Lots of trucks, motorbikes, cars...

I'll wade in with full-scale support on this one.

Love 'pulp' and a full 10mm range would be great.  In 28mm (i have a few for the pulp-style lovliness), the problem isn't the figures its the terrain.  Much easier to do in 10mm.

To the range i'd add:

Civilians
ALWAYS overlooked but essential for street actions, bank hiests, etc.

'Mountain folk' - for those hideout scenarios

Canadian Mounties for those border-running liquor truck style smuggler scenarios.
