Hello peeps, we were busy yesterday hosting one of two demonstration games by the independent wargames group at battleground wargames convention. The showed seemed well attended and as always was a very well run show, so a big thanks to Leon and co for organising the event. I have posted a AAR with loads of photos on my blog of the 10mm 1885 Sudan campaign game my dad and I hosted on the following link if you want to have alook on how the action unfolded during the course of the day.
Cheers  :D

Glorfindel

A very nice looking game with lovely figures and terrain.

I imagine that looking at this game and watching "Khartoum" might
be too much for some people to resist the colonial call !

Leman

It certainly could have the kerching!!! effect for Leon. Lovely looking game and good report. Makes me keen to attend next year.

Paul, you really need to move out of the desert!  Green is good.  :)

I believe Pierre the Shy has some 1914 Belgians in my painting future ;)

Desert has been a recent 'theme' for me but I have been thinking about some other options that do involve green

1914 hmmm....."Though the mud and the blood to the green fields beyond"

Well I might just have PM goodies of some discription to keep you occupied for a while, once the infamous goose becomes available....maybe it lays golden eggs so Leon has decided to keep it   ;)

Lovely looking game slimreidy......Like Paul indicated in the Battleground thread would have been nice to have been there.

As a matter of interest am I right in thinking from your blog that you use Black Powder rules for this game?

Hello,

Thanks for the comments, yes we used Blackpowder rules along with the Blood on the Nile supplement and a couple of our own twists to add a bit of fun

paulr

I like the figure density, the larger bases for the Mahdists and the overall look of the game

What base sizes are you using?
