Infantry unit finished and awaiting flocking. Next up artillery, commanders or cavalry, I've yet to decide... :-\

Steve J

Mountain artillery unit base coated and washed ready for highlights tomorrow.

Thanks Paul. The deadline, SWMBO back at work plus the weather turning in September really has helped my output somewhat :) .

Steve J

Mountain gun finished, but forgot to add a higlight to the barrel to tie it in with the other artillery. Some cavalry started and I've decided to convert one trooper into a standard bearer, which should be fairly simple, he says...

Steve J

Sword cut off and hole drilled for a pole for the guidion/flag/standard. Fortunately it all went really well for once :) .

Base coat colours finished and wash applied to a unit of cavalry. Possibly final highlights to be painted later on today if I'm lucky.

Steve J

Cavalry unit finished this evening, barring flag and flock. Not entirely happy with them to be honest, but once the flock is on, a nice flag attacjed, they should look OK. I'll have a better idea when I seem them fresh tomorrow morning.

I'm planning some dismounted cavalry for a forthcoming game and of course for general use later on, so plenty of basing to be done this morning. At least it should be warm and sunny so I might even get all the basing done and priming today, which would be a great boon for my timescales. Alongside this some pack horses to have the same done to them, again for the same game etc.

Shields added to two older B& B characters.
10mm Napoleonic Cuirassiers for my Austrians done, just need varnish and basing. Latest batch of 6mm Napoleonic Russians assembled and undercoated along with 3 Burrows and Badgers characters. Dunstalking Hall built and base coated.

First part of the basing done and now waiting for the filler to dry before I apply pva glue and grit. Shouldn't be long given that it is a lovely, sunny and warm day here.

Steve J

Dismounted cavalry and sundry items primed and first part of base painting completed. A tad overcast here but hope they dry in time for some evening painting.

Steve J

Light cavalry unit has had base cloours applied followed by a wash. Highlights and lacquer tomorrow. I do not like painting cavalry, even with my very simplistic approach!

Steve J

Light cavalry finished, but may do another highlight on the clothing, but will wait till evening when there is more consistent light to check. Next up the dismounted riders for two units, plus the horse holder stands to go with them.
