New Vikings ready for action, and a considerable number of new Dacians nearly there.

6mm Saxons finished (phew) only 368 figures in 3 days.  =P~  ~X(  @-)  :-B  :-t  X_X
Bit of work done on 28mm and 10mm bits on the way. Quite a sizable 10mm project started & assembled for the painting competition and to keep me occupied for a long time after, I had to order 'extra paints' for this one...

Saxons?

Or Saxons?

Or Saxons?

A very good question, that man :)

Although 368 of the third choice seems a little excessive

Dacians are painted. I'm now upgrading my Iberians, Numidians, and Thracians.

Quite a lot of bases sanded and pva'd.
Some on finished figures, some on base coated and inked, some undercoated, some on other things...

Basing painted and highlighted.
Some tracks basecoated and inked
Other vehicles fettled.
Flesh tones started.
Doesn't sound much for 3 hours painting...

Improvements to Numidian LC nearly done. The new Lancashire Games figures add some welcome variety of pose to what was, after all, an irregular army, but they present two problems. One is that their horses are rather too massive (the real things were ponies), so I've had to compensate by raising the bases on my existing Pendraken figures by about 1.5 mm; en masse they should look acceptable. The other is that (like Tin Soldier 15 mm as I remember them), they have ridiculous arms and could scratch their knees while standing to attention; useful to a soldier, I'm sure, but most inaccurate, though I admit I've only chatted to one Numidian in my life. I'm also replacing half my infantry javelinmen and archers, adding more poses to the former, and a few slingers to the latter. The figures here are marginally bigger that Pendraken, but acceptable.
