Hey Lemmey! Leave those kits alone!

You said WW2 ships are base coated. Are they 1:600? If so please, please, please, please could you do a step by step with photos? I've got some stuck in a box somewhere and I haven't had the courage to start painting.

Pleeaasee. Be your friend forever!  :D :D

If they're 1:3000 I've already done mine so - bye now.

All in all, you're just another brick in the wall.

Not painting per se, but I got my paint box out to check if any had dried up since they were last used around 4 months ago. Luckily only some ones I don't use had bitten the dust and frankly I should have ditched them years ago as they were taking up valuable space. Who knows, painting might resume chez moi soon?

FierceKitty

Doing some axes and tridents for my rather tame-looking Magister Militum Chinese guards troops.

Assembling some Battlefront Cents and M42's, not much fun. Why will resin and metal never bond ? Tomorrow if it's quiet I'll be assembling some 10mm Sparabatha.

Normally the resin will have a slight covering of release agent on it. Wash it in soapy water, then rough up the surfaces to be glued with sandpaper. I used to used Araldite rather than Superglue as it has better gap filling properties, as the Battlefront casting used to be all over the place.

Lord Kermit of Birkenhead

Ta Steve. No gaps but the Cents did feel rather greasy. No probs with bublles or flash though.

I had 24 hours off painting yesterday (mosylt as I was sorting the photos of the 446 figures I posted yesterday). Siamese guards and 7yw next batch base coated and inked today, *content sigh*.
