These are the first of the Belgian army for Square Bashing. Rear rank are Van Dykk full unit. Front is one base of Irregular as a test run. Three photos taken as normal room light, extra light and flash. Flash gives the clearest picture but makes the dark blue greatcoat look quite lightish. The building is 6mm Timecast of the house in St.Privat (also available in 10mm)

I will be adding Pendraken Belgians to this army, so it will be pretty much a mixed bag eventually.

I like those.  :-bd

Giving me ideas now  :'(
Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

I like the level of animation in those figures - nice spacing on the bases is just right.

I don't think a word like "B*lgium" should be used on a family-friendly forum like this. Forgive the gratuitous alliteration.

This forum is family friendly?

Perhaps to the Addams family.

I'm not actually intending to include the Loyal Pierre de Veil City Guard Militia.

The last picture, in particular, is quite good - fine looking figures. Knowing nothing about the period, what is the significance of the mix of black and white kepi's?

Kitty, much goes over my head here but this one was so far over I barely saw it.
In my continuing struggle to understand things could you prehapes rhyme "B*lgium" for me?
The answer may be in the pronunciation.

Somewhere  in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (radio version), it is pointed out that there is one vulgar word so taboo that you can't say it on any civilised planet. As it happens, it's also the name of a country famous in our world for painters, chocolate, and being gallant and little when the Germans come calling.

By the way, I had to have "Here's Johnny!" in The Shining explained to me.

I can remember Zaphod using that word.  :o
