Any plans for Prussian, Saxon or French bandsmen? I'm planning to use a band stand (ho ho) with removable figures to indicate reductions in formation morale. Are there any existing figures apart from the Austrians (which are looking very spiffy) which might be used.

You could always try massed drummers.

Maybe a simple shortening of the. Shako would produce usable Frenchmen in this scale?

And a paint job might produce a Prussian jager band. Or even a French Crimean War band. Also Neapolitans.

There aren't any plans at this stage unfortunately.  The Austrian chaps have sold reasonably well, but not really in quantities that would make other sets viable.  We'll wait and see what the longer term sales look like and go from there.

I don't know of any 19th Century bands, I'm not that old. My interest started in the 1970's with Glam and Heavy Rock.

Sorry, but the title was just screaming out for this comment.

So there you have it folks. If you want little vignettes you have to buy them when they become available, so I shall probably get another one for the French and put them in dress shakos, and at some stage I'm also looking at an Italian army so it could crop up there as well.

I'm surprised no one's suggested Italian nationalists. Surely Garibaldi's would fit?!

Shame they haven't sold too well yet, but I do plan on a pack whenever I next pop an order in!

OK so the Austrians are Austrians, file the shako and we have French, smooth the oak leaves and we have anyone in a shako, its doable.
