The brave red devils are about to attack!

So forward elements of the red devils are approaching arnhem, but encounter a forward position in a field next to a bombed out farm. They are about to rush it, and hope to take it by surprise!Wish them luck!

The german HQ/radio post is on the building on the hill, right top corner.


The devils are all riding the special jeeps. (historically, the red devils had a bunch of jeeps landed by glider with the aim of rushing to the bridge, but they met stiff resistance and weren't able to reach it)


The german defense. I have just applied some static grass to the trenches this afternoon, to break up the edge a bit.



Not going to do a batrep, but wanted to show what i was doing

ANd show the trench system, nice 15mm terrain by ironclad minis!Fit well with the pendraken ruins too!


PS: posted in non pendraken stuff as my german infantry is mostly a different manufacturer.

The radioman hiding in the ruins called in a barrage on the right set of trenches too, sneaky bugger 

Don't know if the pack 75's where active at this stage, but i'll go with yes.

Sounding the retreat on this one. First trench almost cleared, only thing left is the mg42 in the bunker. down to 9 devils ( out of 27!!!!!!) and out of those 9, a corporal is badly hurt, and the lieutenant has a light wound. The puma in the second trench is causing too much suffering to go on.





Killed 18 germans though, and wounded 2 of the 3 Men from the german HQ, with an artillery shell dat deviated from its target

Very cool Peter, and here I thought I was the only guy that did singly based 10mm.  I really like the trench too.

I have had these for a long time now, but only the second skirmish i played with them. Had  to tinker with the ruleset first 

Still need to paint a bunch though, these are all i have finished at the moment, i got sidetracked painting the zombies last time i worked on the 10 mm skirmish guys.
