I suspect it would be very hard to do convincing woad :-\

I found the 'war paint' on my Native Americans very challenging and people expect to see it and it was multi-coloured which adds to how convincing it looks

I used to have a Sioux force. I remember the warpaint as some of the most enjoyable painting I've ever done. Sadly, the games were a bit repetitive.
