Hi,
few days ago at my club (Gruppo Ludico Aglianese, Italy) we run the AWI scenario Brandywine, using "A la guerre" ruleset and pendraken miniatures. "A la guerre" is a very interesting ruleset for wargaming the age of reason: it was created few years ago by the guys of the Luridoteca of Latina and they are making a great work refining the rules, creating army lists, scenarios exc...if someone is interested here is the link to their website, atm it's only in italian so beware of google translator puns   http://alaguerre.luridoteca.net/

The scenario saw the outflanking british force led by Cornwallis divided in two wings, one led toward Washington's reserve, the other toward Stirling's continentals holding the Brandywine's banks. This choice thinned the outflanking force and a dashing charge made by the continental dragoon's brigade stopped the main offensive. On the river banks Greene's brigade made a counterattack across the bridge to slow down the advancing brits but were soundly beaten and broke. Quite surprisingly the militiamen weren't afraid by their routing comrades and hold the bridge repulsing even a british dragoons charge. The attempts by Von Knyphaousen's force to break the continentals by the river were frustrated more by their inability to cross the Brandywine than by the american fire.

In the end it was an american victory since the british weren't able to trap the whole continental army with their flanking force neither to destroy them with their attack across the Brandywine.

Here comes some pics of the wargame:
