Well I trailed back to the previous page, but still haven't got a clue who from Status Quo has just died.

Saw the 'original' Quo in the 70's...They were awesome.....And VERY loud.

Me too! Saw them at the Apollo in Glasgow. Remember "head banging," too - even though we had 'short' hairstyles compared to the band!    

Mrs W. has also just shown me a photograph of one of her pals who was a dancer at the time (1975) presenting Rick with some award.  
She went on to become a Head Teacher before retiring early as some highly paid education executive. Didn't know that before tonight!

Are we more aware of death ... or is 2016 really shaping up to be the year of the Grim Reaper?

I think it's having such an impact because these are mostly people we grew up with - and some of us are getting on as well.
