The term 'Cup' is probably more North American influenced, as it fits inside the jockstrap, and I've picked it up as its more commonly referenced in the sports I've seen in the past.

I conjecture a few logical rules changes envolving wickets and bats - and - of course - three fielders from the at-bat side - call them offensive fielders. Baseball would be amenable to similar rules. TV ratings would go WAY up.

Watched the first series of GoT and read the first five books. Bit tricky to follow the books when there are more than 50 main characters! Never got round to watching any of the others.

Tush and fie! I likes me a bit of personal armour, "Cry God for Harry, England and Susan George", can't beat of bit of Dark Age butchery and who can resist a Hoplite? On Fantasy, I feel I peaked in the early '80s with Ian Holm and Michael Horden on Radio 4 doing "Lord of the Rings". After that, I just can't seem to get me dragon out the starting block. Then again, I'm not one for these never ending series that seem to meander around without reaching a point, what are they called? HBO.
