After 9/11, I was bewildered at the way so many Americans denounced the suicide attackers as cowards. With a choice of "murderous", "fanatical", "heretical", or good old "stupid", everyone chose to describe amazing courage as cowardice.

Islam is not for me (and so glad I live in a country where I have the freedom to hold my own beliefs free of coercion and suppression). But its clear that IS is just an outlet for "troubled boys" to further develop their anti-social and psychopathic tendencies and nothing to do with any recognised religion. They deliberately target defenceless civilians. That they are cowards is without question.

As for their innocent victims, my sympathy goes out to those who have been injured and to the friends and families of the deceased.

We had our minute of silence at 12, and life will go on now. Only thig we can do is remember the fallen and show our sympathy to those that were injured. There is no political or religious change that can make it 'unhappen' so no need to discuss that when people are still suffering. let's keep the bickering for later.

I believe that some of FK's comments have been slightly misinterpreted.

I think I understand where he's coming from, regarding 'cowards'.... and that's basically down to semantics...we all interpret 'things' in different ways.
