I'd always thought that, Nobby.....But I stand ready to be corrected.

I thought the expression was "You don't get many of those to the pound."

d_Guy - it refers to the purchase of goods in this country by pound sterling, i.e were you buying said bosoms by their weight, they are so enormous you would not get many for your £1 - bloody convoluted or what!
Interesting - here, regardless of units,  they would have a "USDA approved" stamp affixed.
Encumbered by Idjits, we pressed on

Pound weight not pounds sterling.

As in:

"Pears - thruppence a pound!"
"Cor! Lookit the size o' them pears! Not many of those to a pound!"

I'm fond of a nice pear myself ;)

Well yes - not many in the lb, and not many for a pound, but you're  right folks, it is "to the lb."

Finally finished the gang of 7 figures - its only taken since last Summer. That's fast!  :D

Got to finish off the Frostband figures, next.

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Compared to my current painting rate that's like greased lightning!

Nice looking bunch too. Particularly like the lady in pink.

My own Wild West languishes in the ever growing lead pile. Alas my diminished enthusiasm for painting is not matched by a decrease in enthusiasm for acquiring new shiny for future projects - doh!

Thanks everyone.

Only reason why I got these finished (and have motivated myself with the Frostgrave) is in case I need to use them, if bodvoc wants a game. They'd probably be gathering dust if the lure of a game wasn't there  :( [or sold off on eBay]

[I'll shove this in here, too]

Here's an example of the (not long ago released - I've had it since before release, but didn't pull my finger out and get it photographed. Whoops!) Belt Fed Girl, Dolly Mop. A Victorian / Steam Punk Harlot.

Link to where you can purchase (an unconverted) Dolly Mop

There's still a bit of work to do tidying up the greenstuff work - using a new scalpel blade to clean the edges of the cobble stones etc, and maybe try to work some definition into the nipple tassels.

Yes, this is the second Belt Fed Girl miniature that I've converted to cover up the naked breasts. I've nothing against nudity in figures, nor specifically any complaints with the sculpts ... In this case I just envisioned the miniature wearing nipple tassels, to complement her corset and stockings and other frilly fancies.

Hopefully, I'll have it painted within the week.
