Having seen pics of the figures used on a well known 6mm manufacturers forum the game must have looked superb
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Some excellent discussion, no wonder rules end up so big! I am determined to keep them very short!

That is usually harder than it sounds ;)

This time I used my recently painted Panther and one Stug G with a reduced company of infantry and support weapons to go against the U.S. company with three supporting Shermans.  The US focused a lot of their effort (i.e. activation tokens) on shooting the Panther with their three Shermans. I supported the Panther with the Stug and a panzerschreck armed infantry squad. I was able to knock out two of his Shermans but he managed to get a flank shot on the Panther which caused a "Kaboom" (rolled a "6" on the damage)

2) ACW Union and Confederate - BBB scenario for 1st Bull Run

3) Hadn't had a game since November, but it's such a straightforward and logical system that we were bowling along very quickly, What a fun game with fragile and raw troops on both sides, and the Union doesn't even get a general figure.

4) No

5) 2 players

Who won Leman? We found it a great scenario, with lots of challenges due to the poor quality of the troops (on both sides), with the lack of a General for the Union being a bit of a pain, but historically accurate.

No one yet. We spent a while setting up the table and sorting the troops, then had a break for tea, and played three turns between about 7.30 and 9.00, then went home, leaving the game set up to conclude next week, when we will be able to start about 6.00. AAR to follow, with piccies, although the figures are my Fire and Fury 15mm armies.

Very much a training/intro game for a colleague of Dave Fielders. He also brought along his 2mm armies to look at and they were really rather nice.

Soviets vs my West Germans, ground to a standstill after both sides lost about 2/3 of their forces. One turn saw 6bmps offed by five Marders! Very bloody game, great fun. Milan teams holding on for dear life, rampaging T-64s, dodgy Soviet morale rolls that saw one flank suddenly disintegrate (KGB will be asking questions). The Russians took the hills that were their first objective, but failed to get to the vital road junction (and local branch of Aldi), whilst the West Germans held the swimming pool!!!!

What sort of scale is Sabre Squadron? Havent played Cold War games for a few years and found that CWC just didn't really do it for me.
