Hi,

This is just a small request but I am looking to do the Winter War - Fins v Ruskies and I need some figures  of Fins in winter Gear on skis.  I'm using Blitzkreig Commander and I need something to represent ski transport stands.  Just like swapping the foot troops for the motobikes or trucks when they dismount.

Just 1 simple pose would do??  And being cheeky how about a sleigh as well ??

thanks
Rob

A sleigh's not a bad idea; useful for real battles as well (Poles vs Muscovites; Knights Teutonic in eastern Europe). And with reindeer, useful for HOTT too.

Huhh, Democracy, I always thought it was over rated.

What've you got against democracy? It gave us Hitler, Bush, Thatcher....

Wouild have thought that the ATR is a simple conversion, and no there is no need for an early war German range, that is paint job.

Bit more involved than that you could well get away with painting short boots and anklets as marching boots but a lot of the figures are clearly sculpted with camo helmet covers. The problem is Pendrakens figures are just too well sculpted for simple paint conversions IMHO.
If not there would have been no need for the BEF range.

It's not delivered my big trench motars, I bet the Kaisser never had this problem, he just told Herr Krup to get on with it ;)

Vietnam Helicopters?

Come on - you can't do a Vietnam range without the hogs.

Any more thoughts on dead horses (for WSS, not Da Nang)
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

We've got the Huey's, and we've been discussing drilling them out to wit open doors and gunners.  Beyond that, nothing planned.

No info on the dead horses either, not many votes for them really.

Ooooo - Door gunners! (I've just bought the paints - Correction, Lady Hussar has just bought the paints, as she was getting a GW figure case, and I asked her to put them through at the same time.  Camo Green (the Khaki Green) and Catachan Green (olive drab) are now part of my Christmas Present.  I'll be buying the US army Pack in January)

Dead Horses - That's because people forget they need them.  Come on - you could literally be flogging a Dead Horse.  In absence - any suggestions on which ones you do would be best for a bit of judicious bending?

And while I think about it - can any one suggest a source for Viet Nam civilians? (10mm ones - not the mail order bride version)

Not sure really, there's the regular ones which come with all the artillery/limbers etc, or the standing ACW ones?  You'd probably need to file down one side of them to make them lay properly on the base.

Is there any update on the Falklands War at all  :P

Paint it Pink

Reminder that not only do you need a Hog with door gunner, but a Cobra too.

in addition, don't forget riverine monitors make for great looking games.

if I knew these were coming in the foreseeable future Id be buying armies for this period from you.  =((
Unlike some people, I feel under no obligation to pretend that only one war-gaming scale is true, and that any others 6mm/10mm/15mm/25mm are mistaken; or that I know better than people themselves what is right for them to use. The point is precisely for all war-gamers to decide for themselves.
