First many thanks to Leon and Dave for pandering to all my eclectic requests and the free dinghy.  Yes the big supply dinghy will convert well for an outboard.

My thanks too to Ace of Spades for the tip regarding liquid green stuff - the WW1 Brits are painting up well as Post war Special Colonial Constabulary.

Now a crazy session of painting and basing - plus scenery, aircraft, and landing craft and gun boats - for the Boxing Day War Game - "No Fault of San Andreas" - A scenario set in a former British colony that is invaded by the neighbouring Latin American dictatorship who have an irredentist claim on the now independent City State.

Images to follow.

They don't pander to mine.  :(  They just send them to the lawyers.

Won't lie. Had to look up the word "irredentist". Nothing to do with teeth at all.

All in all sounds fun.

I have to confess that if I had not taught Modern Irish history and a lecture devoted the "irredentist" claim to Northern Ireland by the Republic ( dropped in 1998 with Good Friday Agreement) I wouldn't have known it either.

Techno's band of British Falklands paratroopers (my all time Pendraken favourite figures) appear in several modes -  No1 Special Patrol Group (St Andreas Special Forces 5/30), the St Andres Civil Defence Volunteers (Permanent Cadre 3/30) and a small Pathfinder unit of Paras in 1970 smock and lightweights  who may or may not make an 11th hour appearance. . [How's that original smock wearing Dave?]

The majority of the Blue Force are Special Constabulary (4/30) and part time CDF (2/30) . I have devised an all too real "inter force rivalry" penalty  which undermines Command and Control.  This is inspirited by BKC  Command Blunder with dice score 10,11, and 12 indicating rivalry issues get in the way co-operation and efficiency.

The Red Force as , a small SEAL unit  (5/30) and Republican Guard (3/30) and National Guard (2/30)

A great bonus with BKC and Cold War Commander is that you can supplement these special rules neatly into the flow of the game.

But back to painting and basing........
