I got a copy of the rules as a Christmas pressie (to me, from me!).
I tried out the rules with Last Hussar and his Number One Son on Tuesday, great fun was had by all (so much so that the LH household have now ordered two copies of the rules ;)). I'd raided all my various ruined scenery boxes from past projects (LOTR, Sci-Fi etc) so I was pleased with the table set up.

After the game I remembered that I had a box of resin dungeon bits in the garage, so I dug that out as well, so we can take Frostgrave underground! :d

I was mighty impressed with Frostgrave...

But the campaign play seems to become hugely unbalanced very quickly.  A good treasure haul by one player can make his gang unbeatable.   :(

Frostgrave is great fun, even if one player becomes quite powerful we found that everone else cooperated against him in our 5 player games .

It reminds me of Mordheim, but with Magic as the main element. Very popular at a local club at present, with others too reminded of Mordheim. Talking of which I must dig these rules out soonish and see if they still interest me... :-\

I'm hoping to be bitten soon.

Nice selection of terrain, btw.
Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Great to see the old Torchlight Fantasy resin pieces  :-bd

I remember drooling over them as a youngster in one of the Cardiff games shops  8->

I own exactly one room and a few accessories, unfortunately they'd long vanished by the time I got a Saturday job!  I believe they're quite collectable these days...

Still, I've got a Pendraken dungeon now to fill the hole in my heart!  :x

Cheers!
