Hi....

Another crazy Scot ... this time from even further up north in Aberdeen !

I`ve had an interest in wargaming for years, but only seriously got `active` about 5 years ago when I joined to local club. I started off with 20mm Napoleonics and have quite a number of British / French / Prussian figures, but now that is all painted a buddy and me decided to give 10mm WWII a go.
At the moment I have an `early` 8th Army and I`m almost finished a German army (Hermann Goring Div)..... and have a British / Canadian army on order .... think I`m driving Leon nuts !  We`re going to be using "Memoir `44" or "Kampfgruppe Commander" as rule sets, which are adapted for use on 100mm hexes with some Kalistra scenery.... should be fun !

I try to visit as many shows as I can, but transport and access can be a problem in the `chair... anyway, I always end up spending far too much on items I probably don`t need !  :-[

Anyway... that`s me !  :D

Nurse.... he`s out of bed again !

Welcome again, Spider !

Hi Spider,

Welcome to the forum. It's a lot of fun. If you are indeed crazy, you'll fit right in ...

Kampfgruppe Commander is also my preferred ruleset for WWII. Don't know if you'd heard, but 3rd edition is likely to be published early in the New Year.

For the most part, forum members are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable ... and mad as a box of frogs. The exceptions are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable ... and madder than a box of frogs :)

Welcome to a forum which believes there are no stupid questions but which is happy to provide stupid answers :)

Plenty of Scotsmen here and we punch above our weight.

Below your weight, equal to your weight.  Let's face it - you'll punch anything regardless of its size or mass.

Mind you, at this rate we'll be able to form our own Royal North British Dragoons.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.
