Does anyone have any pictures of BW19 Mounted officers  & BW20 Mounted generals ?
I'm considering using them for a mounted Brigade HQ in Palestine in 1917. The Brigade is Australian so the figures may be a bit to smartly turned out ;)

Also I'm looking at doing a couple of Divisional HQs (Pierre the Shy's Div HQ rules for ITLSU work well)
I'm looking for a couple of tables suitable to stand a few officer figures around. Can anyone point me at anything suitable?

There is br 116, wich has a table with a figure next to it. Maybe you can cut the figure off:

Or if you want some variety, there is a code in the russian ww2 range wich has a map on a tree stump:

could be used for a quick 'status check' in the field diorama base!

Hey Paul,

Here's my Boer War officers; the guy on the left with the sabre should be the Mounted Officer, the figure with the binoculars should be the Mounted General.
Hope this helps somewhat...

I have a couple of WW2 German command stands that have a cluster of figures behind a sandbag wall. Senior officer and staff are stood around an office desk with a map on it.

I think the desk was part of GR168 Command Group but I'm not sure.

Hi paulr

You could always have a look at 1/144 dolls house furniture:-

Most are laser cut, maybe you could talk some of our laser cutters into making some tables  :D.

I've always found it's best not to mention that you'll be using them for wargaming, they tend to get a bit protective and defensive about their wares.

Cheers

Thanks all for the pictures and suggestions

A head swap might work for BR116 although the table is a bit heavier than I was looking for

The tree stump is an interesting idea by not many tree stumps in Palestine and even fewer in Sinai :(

As I suspected BW19 & BW20 are too 'formal' for Australians ;) Looking at pictures of the Brigadiers they a wearing either slouch hats or caps :-\

Ithoriel, that table looks interesting. Can anyone confirm it is from GR168 and if any figures are attached

If I can't find something from Pendraken to include in Pierre the Shy's next order I might have to resort to dolls furniture, at least one of them is in Oz so hopefully the postage won't be too bad.

I decided on a staff car and some standing officers for my British Div HQ....easier to move the general's drinks
cabinet closer to Berlin (to paraphrase Captain Blackadder).

German one will be more like Paul's....staff officers huddled round a maptable.

A headswop  for the mounted general shouldn't be to big a task I would guess, as is making a small table from some plastic card?

By the way; if you want me to I can have a look if I have a spare Mounted general left; I'm sure I have some heads with slouch hats with upturned side/brim from the Boer War lying around. I'll make you a General if you want me too; no big deal.'

Ah well; all you need is a sharp knife and some superglue...what could possibly go wrong?! :d
Still, the offer stands! ;)
