Hmmm... Going to have to have a basing rethink with him - I was going to suggest to him 6 and 30, like my WSS.

Lets see - that would be 2 ranks of 15.
5 x (3x2)

25mm bases for BP

That works.  Depends if he wants 2 standards per bn, but there is the Generic standard bearers.

Could do  4 x 30mm bases 4x2 men, one base only having 3 in the rear rank.

I'll have to message him and see what he was thinking.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Almost there.

32 man units on 4 bases.

So a pack of generic standard bearers - thats the 31st man.

You supplied Sunjester and me with officers for 'First Fire' markers.  How easy would it be to get a dozen of them?  I'm suggesting he does a core army of 8-10 foot, 6-8 horse, plus guns and generals.  We'll start with the foot for Christmas.

Oh 'eck, hope I didn't cause too much kerfuffle. What I meant was not much point putting up loads of photos when the previous post had done such a good job. Thankfully I was put out of my real job four years ago and paid reasonably well for the privilege. In a couple of years the government will hopefully contribute further to my wargaming enjoyment.

Glad to hear that this hadn't just happened

Never did mate. Took voluntary redundancy and one year early retirement at the same time. Could have lived off the redundancy for that year, but had an expensive divorce to pay for.

Think I took the same scheme - VERS - Voluntary Early Retirement Scheme.  Certainly worked for me!
