Hi Last Hussar,

My own thing is historical battles but I really don't mind what other people do with BBB - play Aztecs vs Vikings if you like, so long as BBB is helping you to have fun I'm happy. I do encourage players to fight historical actions, but I think it would be downright peculiar to dictate that that is the One True Path. Sorry if I've given the wrong impression on that score.

When initially announcing publication I did stress that BBB was geared to historical battles because I didn't want to mislead people into expecting the rulebook to contain any system for setting up non-historical pick-up games. But as toxicpixie says, players have developed what seems to be a very serviceable points system, which is available in the BBB Yahoo group files.

I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Once you release the rules into the wild they can end up doing the most extraordinary things! Who markets them in the UK?

Field of Battle 2; we already have a dedicated 1866 set, the 1870 set will have to wait until I have a bit more time on my hands.
Don't buy your daughters a pony, buy them heroin instead, its cheaper and ultimately less addictive.

Bill,

Indeed. I still feel childlike surprise and delight each time I learn about something that BBB players are up to.

I think Caliver Books or Irregular Miniatures are your best bet for BBB in the UK. There may be others by now but I don't know, SkirmishCampaigns looks after all that side of it.

I think I saw it mentioned on the Irregular site that they have sold out and only have the scenario book now
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!
