C: The main inferral seemed to be that I am too old to be buying stuff from their shop. Still, I suppose he could have asked if I was buying for my Grandson!

I think its more likely their lack of personal higene puts the women off.

"No thank you, I don't play Warhammer, although I can see why you would make that assumption, as I have chosen to walk into a shop that I know is tied to Games Workshop, whose major products are the two Warhammer brands.  Nor will I moan on line later that you tried to sell me things, given that is the purpose of a shop, and the reason you are employed.  To do so would be like walking into Burger King and being surprised they won't sell me a Big Mac."

I've been in one GW shop in my life, while I was visiting Edinburgh.  Funny thing is, the sole staffer didn't say a word to me.  Too busy watching tweens argue the virtues of different load-outs for Space Marine Sergeants to chat with the foreigner peeking at the Reiksguard Knights (End Times was still in full swing) and the woefully undersized Black Library section.  Which is fine by me  ;)
