Some of the smaller models don't have space for a washer unfortunately. Will have to come up with some other trick. And acquire some plastic tweezers.

Cripes! for a minute there I thought I'd hit the Top Totty thread.

And my train arrived. Now to decide whether to modify it, repaint it, or maybe just replace the decals with GWR ones.

- Neil.

I use adhesive envelope labels to temporarily modify my lococmotives. There are tons of label templates out there for word processors and it just means a bit of cutting and pasting to get what you need. For instance I used a Flying Scotsman as a locomotive for a special train in China and used the name '飛中國佬' on it - literally Flying Chinaman and in another scenario set in Manchukuo it was '飛滿洲' - Flying Manchurian.

Christmas comes early...

This was waiting for me on my desk when I got home from the big game I was at today:

So plenty to look forward to on my return from Manchester on Wednesday.

I'm intrigued, what are the long thin bases on the right for  :-\

The long bases are actually 12cm rulers marked at 3cm intervals, designed for the easy measuring of patrol markers and jump off points for Too Fat Lardies Chain of Command. They were a custom order and I'm really pleased how they came out. Leon and team have once again excelled themselves.

Back from Manchester, to discover more goodies waiting for me:

A Kestral Models Country Station kit and three GWR wagons. My collection of AVBCW / Operation Sealion pieces are slowly coming together.

Coo !

Can't wait to see this finished, Neil.  :)

A quick shot of my spoils from Warfare, minus the KR trays to put all the finished figures in:

Now to go back over my notes and figure out what I was going to do with what. I may be some time...

Hmmm I know that feeling... :D

I've just done the same thing with some figures Pierre the Shy dropped off in August :-[

So I picked up an N Gauge carriage at the weekend:

with which I have completed my train.

Using only one of the goods wagons, as two made it look too long. In theory I can drop the brake car too as the carriage has an integrated one.

S0 now I just need to figure out how to attach the couplings to the rail gun's bogeys (a separate thread I think) and get the ting painted.

Looks damned impressive when seen all together.

I can't seem to stop adding to the painting pile:

85 German Paras all ready to be sorted for use in Operation Sealion games. Acquired from a fellow forum member via ebay.
