Canadians seem to make good wargamers. We have one here who's swallowed the wargaming bait, hook, line, sinker, float, rod, reel, and angler at a single bite.

nice to see another "well-kent face" on here!

I'd go with the idea of using the barbarians as proxy orcs in Warmaster.
That help any?

Hi Mike

I'll give the pseudo-Orcs a go, not sure where I'll end up, I wonder if I can get female Barbarians?

You'd be missing equivalents for Wolf Riders, Wolf Chariots and the Wyvern and Chariot mounts for characters. I'd suggest Mammoths for Wyverns but but flying mammoths might be a bit much even in fantasy games :)

OK some mammoths then and maybe some Amazons on Camels for Wolf Riders and then maybe some Camel Chariots and then ... ... ...

No worries, let me know if you need any of the sabot bases as we don't carry much stock of those at the shows.
Maybe some WAR-BS10050 and WAR-MVT1 and WAR-MVT5

So...'Canada Jim' it is then?   ;)

On the 'proxy' note, I see it less as proxying figures and more as being creative.

I'd hate to see Warband go all Wames Gorkshop and prescriptive about what figures can be used for what army or unit.

One of the joys for me, is the 10x5cm base allows you to let your imagination run wild with some truly weird fantasy dioramas (and Pendraken have some great options, particularly in the 'dungeon' ranges); and I hope the sense of freedom means we'll see some marvellous and eclectic armies...

Still planning to do my goblins as 'fire goblins'...should be some off the wall units representations in that.   :D

Not sure with my Barbarians yet buy I may go 'African' with them.

I remember fondly armies like Happy Ent's "Green Kislevites" - orc figures but the Kislevite army list.

GW prescriptions didn't run very far in any of the groups I played with!

I wrote the Albion armylist because GW wouldn't :)

Now, Leon, about those Balori, or whatever they were to be called ....

Oh yeah, I like the Albion list - very nice piece of kit, thematically and on table :)

That might do well for Barbarians!

Not by me although I do have Undead, Empire and High Elves by GW, I also have Teutonics and Normans by Kallistra as well as Undead and Barbarians by Pendraken. I hope to have High Elves by Pendraken by this weekend.

I can see a great mixing of manufacturers from my viewpoint.

I can also see several different rulesets in use as I have Warmaster, Warmaster Ancients, Hordes & Heroes, Neil Thomas' Ancient and Medieval as well as One Hour Wargames and of course Warband.
