Is anyone prepared to admit to a C7 arab army with a named command figure?

I remember seeing an Arab Conquest army that had some wonderful banners with beautiful calligraphy on the inscrpitions.

Somewhat bizarre to find out that since the guy knew no Arabic and it was in the days before the internet the inscriptions were taken from food wrappers and the followers of the prophet were riding under banners reading "ingredients: sugar, wheat flour, water..." or "suitable for vegetarians."
