Well some of us that have now passed through the Get up at 0630 stage actually stayed in bed and had a lie in!

Wake up at 0900.  get other half to go and make tea
Bedroom activities, followed by a sleep  (These can be solo but much better if 1 (or more if its FK) take part) :d
Wake up at 10:30, Get bacon sandwich and more tea
11:00 go back to sleep
12:30 wake up and think - Time I got up! Perhaps I shall paint figures this afternoon

I'm visiting me old mum in Cape Town, so a bit out of circulation.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Woke up at 6.00am and had a lie in until 6.30am (Normally wake up around 5.00am as it is so light at present).

7.30am off to ASDA for a bit of shopping, having loaded the washing machine. On return off to butrchers for some meat for evening BBQ (which was great :)).

10.00am helped out local conservation volunteers for a couple of hours pulling up Himalayan Balsam.

After lunch finished off history of Franco-Prussian War and started on Osprey's Essential History of the Russian Civil War.

A bit of gardening and then onto said BBQ.

Excellent day all round :)

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

I'm in Scotland at the moment....it's about 4.45am and quite light already. Body clock is still adjusting so I'm wide awake.

Off to see a bit of Angus today were my family farmed 100+ years ago. Met some distant relatives yesterday which went really well.

Meeting up with one of the board regulars in Edinburgh tomorrow....looking forward to that  :)

After that its over the border, hopefully to have a cuppa with Leon and drop off a small order (with Mrs Shy's blessing since I took her to
Livingston designer outlet yesterday....after we finally found it ;))

Westmarcher

Just back from a short holiday at Lake Garda (Italy). San Martino battlefield (1859) so tantalisingly close (could see the memorial tower in the distance) but never got to go. Nevertheless, had a great time; temperature in 30s, nice scenery, picturesque towns, visits to Venice & Verona and got to see the fortifications at Peschiera and the gates to the Arsenale in Venice. 

Great to be back ....  :^o
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
