A few bits and pieces of clutter, e.g. Barrels, crates, would really finish it off nicely

I like your thinking, Paul. I was looking for barrels in 10mm but couldn't find any. There are some in N gauge but only modern, steel barrels and as this is for my early to mid 16th century Ottomans and Hapsburg Austrians, that won't work. I did buy a set of N gauge small farm animals and they may well make an appearance at some stage. N gauge stuff can be deeply lovely but it aint' cheap  :-\

Have a look at the artillery accessories pack in the pendraken ECW range - it has all sorts of useful clutter

Also in the dungeon range there are some useful crates and other bits

I have got to find a reason to buy that house with the shutters - probably early WWI.
I bought it at York.
