Thanks.
I realised I forgot the tassels on the flags.

I'm curious, why are all the figures at the back of the base? I would have tended to base them in the middle :-\

The basing is very effective by the way

Now there's something you don't see everyday, and they look amazing!

The curiosity is killing me: why 6 across (for those not aware, Baccus 6mm are in strips of 4)?

Excellent work. Having just painted 6mm figures I know how tricky it is.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

I prefer basing in this way to get a large area in front of the figures. By doing so, I can add elements like rocks, bush, grass ... I used 30mm x 30mm bases.

Why not ? ;)
12 figures in the base are little more impressive than 8  8)

Thanks all for your nice feedbacks.

Hecoma,

I didn't mean it as a negative, the troops look great.

I was only asking because that's a lot of work; I'm assuming you used two 'normal' four-man strips, then cut another one up into individuals and added one to the each flank of each rank?  Looks great, but too much work for me! ;)

Thought that might be it, the scenery does look good & adds to the effectiveness of the basing

Funnily enough I use two ranks of 6 Baccus in BBB on my 30mm square bases, simply because it looks better. Similarly I have now moved to two ranks of 4 in 10mm on my 25mm square SYW bases. Troops were pretty snug in the age of linear warfare.

As an advantage you can get the bases snug against each other when they hit close combat... even in non-18ft pointy stick warfare I sometimes find over enthusiastic basing means someones rank of bayonets sticks out a little to far for easy use :D

Very nice :)

That was something I was very concious of when working out my AWI basing, front rank is well back to allow for muskets and bayonets ;)

In somewhat  regretting my choice of kneeling front rank for my Italian wars pike blocks!
