May I borrow your Napoleonic 10mm figures?

Hi,

The 18th June 2015 many will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. I'm planning to celebrate with some non-wargaming friends (which I hope to get hooked up in the hobby). The idea is to recreate the battle of Waterloo in 10mm. The problem is I'm very busy with my job and have no time to field a proper Napoleonic force in time for the celebrations. Still, the bicentenary of the battle of Waterloo is such a great occasion I decided to try a different route.

Is anyone willing to lend me his Napoleonic figures? Of course you're more than welcome to join the battle with us at my place. I'm based in east London.

The deal is simple. I pay you a fee in exchange for borrowing your miniatures for 1 or 2 days. I guarantee the miniatures will be returned in perfect state. If you live in London, I can also come and collect them and return them after the event. If you want to ship them, I can cover the shipping costs back and forth. To Leon/Pendraken staff: I'm not sure if this post violates some Pendraken rules. I wouldn't be able to paint a Napoleonic order anyways, so I think I'm not damaging the business. Actually, if I get my freinds hooked up in the hobby, they will definitely buy Pendraken miniatures. Fingers crossed!

I have some 1809 French painted but nothing for 1815 - I do have a venue and I may be local, you should get in touch see what we can do. I also have a mad-hectic job currently and no expectation that I can get any more stuff painted before June.

Hi Leman, do you mean Royal Mail does not ship minis? Anyways, as long as the lender lives in London/East London, I am willing to come and fetch the minis by myself.

Yes, Royal Mail do ship minis, but, as mentioned in another thread, when you take a package to the Post office you now have to describe the contents before they will post it, and some of the clerks are not averse to making sarcastic comments.

I would have thought using Blucher and the 1815 Army Cards would be a more practical solution to fielding the armies for a demonstration game
